Waterford City

Perhaps the World's most famous Waterford Crystal factory is a must for visitors to Waterford. Visitors will see beautiful glass objects made with wonderful skill before their own eyes.  The newly restored Granary building on the Quay provides an interesting museum, gift shop, restaurant and Tourist Centre office. A place of interest for locals and visitors.

Reginald's Tower dates back a thousand years to the Viking city of Port Lairge. Open daily and contains an exhibition of related Waterford history.
 

 Waterford Heritage Museum has a fine collection of Viking and Medieval artefacts. City Hall designed by John Roberts a Waterford architect in the 18th is the centre for the Municipal Art Collection of over 200 paintings by Irish and International artists. Open all year with guided tours.

Sea side and surfing

Old Dunmore East fishing village and harbour; Tramore (The Great Beach) with sand and sea, surfing and all year round entertainment with a racecourse and fairground activities. Annestown and many other interesting coves, attractive beaches for surfing. Sea side towns of Dungarvan, Bonmahon and Woodstown have beaches and are easily accessible to the visitor.

Walking

There are many cliff, beach, country and mountain walks to be enjoyed by those with boundless energy and those with limited abilities. There are so many options and so many lovely places that no one should be disappointed. J.F. Kennedy Park & Arboretum The Commeragh Mountains and the river Suir; Graiguenamanagh and Inistioge with the Blackstairs Mountains and the river Barrow. Rinn near Dungarvan; Where the Irish language is spoken. There are many other forest, hill and coastal walks.
